Chicka Chicka Practice Practice

Our little monkeys are working hard this week to prepare for the performance next Wednesday.  We’ve been singing, dancing, and creating decorations every minute we can spare!  The multipurpose room will be open at 1:00 pm and we plan to begin at 1:15.  Directly after the play, we’ll reconvene in the Library for a short reception (a good excuse for cookies if ever there was one!)

Update Your Calendar!

The Pre-K Play has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 1:15pm.

You are invited to join us in the multipurpose room as we sing and dance our way through the ABCs and 123s. This is a brand new, multimedia infused play created by the Pre-K and Performing Arts team.  It is based on the book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault.  The play will be followed by a short reception in the library.

Winter Break Wrap Up!

We’re been very busy completing final projects, playing in the snow, and  overcoming architectural feats while using Legos. All of the children in our school have also been practicing for the upcoming Winter Program.  Today and tomorrow Mrs. Hanczar and Mrs. Ruiz will be conducting dress rehearsals to iron out any kinks.  Below is the letter sent home last week regarding Friday’s performance.

Dear Parents,

Please join our students as they perform the winter program, “Paint the Town December.”  The performance will be on Friday, December 17 at 1:30 p.m.  The students have been learning songs and dances from various cultures and celebrations throughout the world.  Please plan to attend the performance.

The children should wear the following clothing for the performance:

  • Pre- Kindergarten – All students should wear comfortable holiday clothing
  • All students should wear rubber soled shoes that they can dance in.

Overflow parking will be available at the Hartwood Acres lot.  There will be a shuttle bus going back and forth between the school and lot beginning at 1:00 p.m. If you plan on taking your child home immediately after the performance, please send a note to school or e-mail Kim Rovnan.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Cheri Hanczar
