We began working on our student-written play after we returned from winter break and have been creating and editing ever since! The children were allowed to change the characters and plot of the story as many times as they wanted until spring break. Below, you will find the first draft of our Pre-K play.
You’ll notice, in the beginning, the play consisted of many “mini plays”. It took some time for the children to find a way to incorporate all the characters they had created into one story.
Enjoy!

Then they could be friends. The sharks said, “We are not mean” and the sharks will be nice to the princesses.
The sharks say, “Alright we’ll be nice.”
And then they all dance together.
The animals and the giant
The talking book and butter could try and trip the giant and he falls over. They hold his legs and he falls down.
Then the whale trips the giant.
Then the giant runs home and his mommy says “its dinner time” and he runs back and he eats food.
The dog and the mouse
The mouse was running and the dog tried to chase the mouse. Then they decided to become friends.
The mouse went to her mouse hole and the dog slept.
And the mouse almost came out but then didn’t.
The dog got back to the owner.
The mouse comes out.
