Winter Performance 2011

Just in case you missed it in the North News, here is the letter from our Dance and Music teachers regarding clothing for the upcoming Winter Performance (Dec. 15, 1:30).
Dear Parents,
The students have been singing and dancing to create our own “Whacky” version of Tchaikovsky’s famous Nutcracker Suite. You are invited to come and meet the Pompous Pecans, the Cashew Couple, the Crowned Almond, the Sugar-coated Peanuts, and the Mighty Macadamia Nuts! The performance on Thursday, December 15 at 1:30 p.m. is sure to brighten your winter holiday spirit. Please plan to attend the performance.

All students should wear soft soled or rubber soled shoes that they can dance in. The children should wear the following clothing for the performance:
• Pre- Kindergarten – All students should wear holiday outfits or dressy clothing.
Please bring in a winter hat as soon as possible with your child’s name labeled
inside of it.

• Kindergarten – All students should wear holiday outfits or dressy clothing.

• First grade – All students should wear holiday outfits or dressy clothing.

• Second grade – All students should wear khaki pants with white short sleeve
shirts.

• Third grade – All students should wear khaki pants with white short sleeve shirts.

• Fourth grade – All students should wear khaki pants and white short sleeve shirts.

• Fifth grade – All students should wear blue pants and white short sleeve shirts.

Overflow parking will be available at the Hartwood Acres parking lot. There will be a
shuttle bus available between the school and the lot beginning at 1:00 p.m. If you plan on taking your child home immediately after the performance, please send a note to school or e-mail Kim Rovnan.  We look forward to sharing this special performance with you and hope you have a joyful holiday season.
