The Light Table

We opened up the light table for the Pre-K today.  It was a huge hit!  Once again, we had to sign up for a turn so that we could fairly share the new resource.  During their free exploration, they designed many complicated and simple constructions.  A few of the children were very interested in the ability to form shapes with the magnetic blocks.  Others found home building much more enjoyable.  This activity allowed the children to practice their understanding of spatial relationships, shape and form, problem solving, and balance.
