The Versatility of a Box

So I’ve been saving this large box for over a week.  After a very exciting bear week where the children put their bears to sleep in the box, I had elaborate plans for it.  I imagined we’d take it outside and paint it in lovely colors and make the world’s most beautiful bed.  We’d later play in it and pretend we were going on trips in our dreams.  Then this morning, as always happens with children, they had much better plans for the box.

One of the girls saw the box sitting there up-ended and simply stated, “It’s an elevator!”  And thus my plans for the box fell to the wayside.  It may not be painted, but it certainly has much potential for creative play.  Let us see where this elevator might take us.
